It's the year 1977 and so much is going on with the world, wars are being fought and 'flower power' is used by some to boycott it. The punk movement is being headed off by the likes of The Ramons, The Clash, The Sex Pistols, and Sham 69.
None of that really matters in the Wizarding World though, because even magic folk have their share of problems. Rumor has it there's a new Dark Lord hanging around, but the Ministry is saying naught, trying to keep everything under wraps and away from the masses.
Unfortunately just because the Ministry attempts to ignore it and play it off as false, doesn't mean it's not there. Already there have been reports of murders and disappearances, and there being blamed on a group called the 'Death Eaters' - a group composed of the new Dark Lords followers.
In Hogwarts however there are different matters at hand. The Marauders have entered their sixth year at the celebrated school and both them and their peers are too busy worrying about schoolwork and gossip to care much about outside news. Because this new Dark Lord- Voldemort- he doesn't want to bother himself with teenage kids that are still in school right?
Ignorance is a bliss that can get you killed, because perhaps Voldemort's dark presence is already taking hold in the noble school.
