Silvia Antova set her trunk down with a heavy thud and surveyed the room. It held six four-poster beds with red hangings and was centralized around a large heater in the center. She plopped her wet scarf and gloves in front of the monolithic appliance and walked around it, trying to find which way the heat was naturally focused. Upon finding the area, she dragged her trunk to the foot of the bed and tested the mattress. It wasn't home; it was better. Silvia kicked off her shoes and removed her coat, setting both by the heater to dry them.
I wonder if I can stay here all the time, she thought as she dug out a roll of parchment, pencil, and a copy of Agatha Christie's And Then There Were None. It's be better than going home. Her pencil darted across the parchment as she noted another characteristic about a character, something she often did when reading a mystery.

Tatiana pushed her bed with her foot. It wasn't to heavy, she was going home soom anyway for christmas so she hadn't needed to take much with her. She could by all essentials such as ink and parchment from schastlivo, so taking them would of been pointless, i she needed anything desperately she could summon it from home, most muggles never notices a single book flying through the sky, there small minds often though it was caught by the wind, and felt sorry for the owner who had just lost it to the elements. She laughed at her thoughts and walked out of her dormitory.
When she entered the common room she didn't find anyone there, why would they when it was snowing outside? She gazed out of the window to find most of the students outside throwing snowballs at each other. She thought about joining them but decided that it would still be there tomorrow, and she simply wasn't in the mood, she had only one glove also, after leaving one at home, and she didn't want to be doing magic, she just wanted to slump by the fire in a cosy, red armchair. She summoned a hot chocolate from the kitchens and took a few sips. How good it was to be back at school.
All of a sudden she heard a thump in the 6th year girls dormitory, someone must be up there, if there was she would have someone to talk to, not her own thoughts, which could get rather repetative when she often just though about how cute that 6th year Pius was, what was his name again? Grigori that was it, even though he was younger he loved all the same things as her, the same music the same fashion, in her eyes they were a match made in heaven. Although there was only flaw, she had never spoken to him, she only knew they like the same things from other people.
She opened the door to the dormitory to find Silvia in there, with a book laid out on her lap, quickly writing notes. Strange she though but people have there own likes and she respected that. She thought about walking back out again but wanted somebody to talk to and Silvia was good at creating a good conversation going between two people. She walked up, but wasn't quite sure what she would say to her. "Hello how are you" just sounded boring, like she was only saying it to fill an empty space, no she must think of something else, something that would spark off a good chat.
'Hi, someone else not playing in the snow, good to know I'm not the only one!' she said.
Maybe she might as-well of said "Hello how are you?" but it was said now, and Silvia wasn't one to get annoyed from what she knew of her.

"It's too cold," Silvia said as she smiled and set aside the American novel. "I've lived here all my life, but I can't stand the wind chill." It was chilly even with the heater, and Silvia 's shoulders were draped with a thick plaid robe that appeared to suffice her distaste for the cold. "So why aren't you out there?"

'No rush,' she replied, it was awkward but it didn't matter, 'It'll be there tomorrow, might as-well go when it isn't dark.' Tatiana hinted a smile and sat down on a bunk near where Silvia was sitting. She glanced at her and noticed the book lying on the thick, red blankets where the Virtus logo was knitted into the middle. Proof that she was in the Virtus dormitories. She looked at the title of the book 'And Then There Were None', she had no clue what the book was, it appeared to be written in english, or some other language, a language she could not read
'Is that book interesting?' Tatiana asked, 'What language is it written in?' Tatiana wished she could speak some other languages other than Bulgarian, Russian and the little she knew of French. It stopped her immensely from exploring the world. once she had gone on holiday to a a magical seaside town in england, very pretty and a lot different and in someways better than Bulgarian and Russian ones, but she couldn't understand anything anyone said to her and couldn't talk to anyone except her own parents.
Tatiana looked out the window again, she was starting to think she might join them. What if the novelty had worn off by the next morning and nobody wanted to go outside. She would of missed out. Tatiana thought of disapparating outside, but she didn't know if she would be able too at the castle, she had never tried before. She had had her lessons here so you must... but that would appear rude, how would she like it if she just disapparated into thin air, she wouldn't feel the most welcome.
'Do you want to go down to the kitchens and see if they have any pumpkin pasties?' she asked, she could always summon them but she fancied stretching her legs.

"Sure," Silvia said, closing the book. Answering her prior questions, she stated simply, "The author is a bit wordy, and her description need work, but I honestly expected no less from Agatha Christie. I can't say I'm fond of American authors. I prefer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle and Bram Stoker." She giggled slightly at how pompous she sounded. "I'm sorry. My parents forced me to learn English and Spanish as well as Russian as extra languages. I must sound like such a pompous ass. My name is Silvia, by the way. Silvia Antova."
She rose and tucked her book behind the pillow of her bed before snatching her boots at the end of the bed. With the flexibility of a rat, she bent double and began to lace up the dark-red leather boots. With the chore of lacing her boots complete, Silvia twisted her hair into a bun and secured it with a rubber band. Then, she fetched her cloak from the heater. The halls were always chilly, and she knew she would freeze after so long in a warm area.
She looked at her House-mate and checked herself. Her willowy frame was nearly drowning in a cloak two sizes too big for her, and short strangds of her black hair were falling loose of the bun, but she wasn't going to win a beauty contest; she was going to the kitchens.

Tatiana saw Silvia slide her book under her pillow. She didn't look her best, her hair was all strangled and could of done with some brushing, unlike tatiana who had only just put a thick coating of hairspray on, to keep its volume. But hey, people like different things and they were only going down to the kitchens to get some pumpkin pasties, no one was going to see them they were all outside.
Tatiana saw Silvia slide on her boots, she didn't have any on herself and on the freezing cold stone floors of the castle you really needed them.
'I'll be back in a min', just need to get some shoes, wait in the common room for me.' she smiled and ran off too her own dormitory.
Where were her converse? They must be there, she remembered packing them. In only a few moments all the contents of her trunk that had once been packed neatly into her trunk were all over the floor, she could find them! But it was always difficult looking for certain items of clothing, most was black and so nothing stood out much, apart from normally the white soles of her converse, which it seemed to have turned out, she didn't pack. Typical. She picked up a pair of checkered Vans and slid them onto her feet.
Tatiana walked swiftly down the stairs from her dormitory. Silvia was down there.
'Shall we go then?' Tatiana smiled and made her way to the door that stood as the entrance and exit to the Virtus common room and dormitories.

((I'm so sorry, Fran! Things got hectic around the 20th.))
Silvia had pulled on a sweater in Tatiana's short absence and was now tucking her hair underneath a knitted red socking cap. Despite the fact that they weren't going outside, she knew the lower halls to be freezing. She looked admittedly cute in black knee-length socks, knee-length gray skirt, Mary-Janes, and red sweater under a black cardigan.
She looked up at Tatiana and smiled. "Let's go. I'm getting hungry." She could feel herself getting slowly more nauseous, something that happened when she skipped meals. Before long, she wouldn't be able to concentrate much.
