Tatiana started to walk down toward the Potion classroom. Anyone could guess what she was feeling by the expression on her face, lets just say, there was no where near a smile on her face, and she was not overjoyed that when she looked at her timetable for this year she found out she had double potions first thing on a monday morning. That was the lesson she was now heading towards.
She had arrived early, not because she was looking forward to it, but because she didn't want to give Professor Morphakvicha an excuse to discriminate her, often the insult was 'looks like the Virtus lady has no partner, maybe thats because of that smell that seems to circle her wherever she goes.' she could ignore it of course, but what she couldn't ignore was the teasing that followed her all the rest of the lesson. At least she couldn't take any points away, it was the start of the year, so all the houses were at zero.
She pulled her books out of her bag, they were all brand new and in pristine condition, though she probably would of got a blob of potion spilt on it at the end of the lesson. She turned the page to see what they would be studying in todays lesson, polyjuice potion, well at least she had something to look forward to, she could turn herself into a Maleficus and see if she noticed. Better not, she might have more insults thrown at her if she found out.
She heard a buzz from down the corridor, everyone else was just about to arrive. Professor Morphakvicha often followed the Maleficus, so she was probably only moments away.

Monday morning. A new day. New week. And who did she have to teach first....... Virtus. And a select few Maleficus of course. That should be alright and of course she was teaching that Virtus girl. Zara smiled to herself, she did like annoying that girl, it was where most of her joy came from, except perhaps watching the others teasing her afterwards.
Now Zara waltzed down the stairs, following her house, Maleficus. It was true, Zara was young and most of the girls in Maleficus looked to her for a friend, and Zara was happy with that. The more friends she had the better, although many of them were more like followers. She sighed but grinned cruelly as she saw the girl, Tatiana Ivanova, she was looking at her brand new books, well they wouldn't be that shiny for long.
Zara reached the door and pushed purposefully through the door. Without turning around she called over her shoulder, 'Take your seats boys and girls! Quickly now, or it'll be a detention!' She stood behind the desk at the front, leaning on it. She flicked her hair behind her back dramatically and with a flourish wrote the instructions for todays lesson on the board.

Tatiana saw Professor Morphakvicha push open the door, following the Maleficus people as always, she saw her friends coming in, they sat beside her, last year there had been so many people doing potions, they setted it, all her friends were in the top, whereas she was in the middle, all alone, but she got an 'O' in her first part of NEWT's last year and managed to get moved up to be with her friends.
She heard Professor Morphakvicha threaten the 'snails' with detention, if she had been one of then it would have been a detention, no warning at all. She saw her put down her books and sit down at the teachers desk.
Tatiana put her hand up, to ask if it was true that they were going to be doing polyjuice potion today, she didn't know whether she was excited or not. Professor Morphakvicha gestured, as to say 'yes' or she thought so, and if that wasn't what she meant, the Maleficus shouted out all the time.
'Professor, what are we doing today?' she asked inquisitively.

Zara was already reading through the plans she'd made for the lesson; which was open on her desk. She was just about to turn and write up the date on the board and give her usual order of 'Open up your books!' when she heard a small, inquisitive and... ahem, annoying voice say, 'Professor, what are we doing today?' Zara turned to face the owner of the voice, an exhasperatedly cool voice on her face. It was of course the same meddlesome and incompitent girl, Tatiana Ivanova. Zara stared hard at the girl, hand in the air, leaning over the front desk.
'Well Miss Ivanova, if you would wait for me to give the instructions i'm sure your contributions to the class would be far better accepted.' She tunred quickly on her heel so that her plain black robes swung around her ankles. Facing the board she flourished her wand about the board, tracing the letters into the air. The date appeared in chalk on the board in zara usual italic writing, followed by the title, 'Polyjuice Potion'.
She spun back to the class, all of whom were silent and waiting. No one would dare speak when it was inappropriate in her classes. She flicked her hair casually behind her shoulder and glared down at the class, picking on each Virtus student in turn; smirking when she reached Tatiana. 'Can anyone tell me... breifly..... what Polyjuice Potion is?'[/i] She continued smirking, arms folded as she waited for one of these idiots to answer.[/size]

Tatiana knew her question wouldn't be willfully answered, Professor Morphakvicha was always going to find a reason where Tatiana was made to look like a fool and she was right, she heard the sneering voice speaking to her, spitting as she talked.
'Well Miss Ivanova, if you would wait for me to give the instructions i'm sure your contributions to the class would be far better accepted.'
Not much of a surprise. Tatiana's hopes were lifted however when the title 'Polyjuice Potion' was put on the board. This was the only reason Tatiana had asked to confirm that they were today studying and producing the potion she had always wanted to try. She scanned the page of the textbook quickly to make sure she wasn't out-smarted by Professor Morphakvicha's questions that she often springed on people.
'Can anyone tell me... breifly..... what Polyjuice Potion is?'
Tatiana knew the answer to this question and raised her hand with enthusiasm, but she wasn't expecting that she would choose her to answer, however no one else in the room raised their hand, hopefully this would be Tatiana's time to shine.
