The Universe's Secret...
It's a well kept secret.
Billions of years ago, before even the dinosaurs, fairies roamed the Earth, and all the planets surrounding it in our solar system today- Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, Neptune, and of course, Pluto. It was a peaceful time, and each fairy had a specialized job that they loved doing. Food was free and nutritious, and everyone was healthy. Fairies had been the only known existing species for as far back as anything written could tell. It was the perfect life. Of course, there were occasional arguments, but small ones only. There were different races- fairies came in every color, but they barely noticed the difference. They traveled from planet to planet at the speed of light, and no place was overpopulated, and all planets had a seemingly infinite supply of resources. The perfect society. Their favorite pass time was writing. When they weren't doing their work- which they all loved- they were often writing, stories about everything non fiction and fiction.
But then the aliens came. The fairies called them aliens for, well, for lack of anything else to call them. In the stories that they wrote, people from far off planets were called aliens. At first, they were payed no heed. But slowly, the fairies noticed that the warm life glows from other stars and planets were dimming, and going out. In a panic, they appointed a leader to help them through the times. Arabella. Arabella was a tiny blue fairy, with around 165 years under her belt- relatively young for a fairy in that era, but she had written many books about complicated war patterns and schemes, and the fairies hoped that she could translate them into the real world.
The day came when the first alien hit the Sun. It was a massive, ugly creature, so ugly that not one fairy recorded its features, but only the terror it brought. The fairies had been making weapons as rapidly as possible, but as there had been no previous warfare, the weapons were crude, and not very effective. Arabella led the first attack, taking a mere thousand fairies with her. She tried her hardest to negotiate peace with the Alien, but it tired soon of her peaceful speech, and let out an atomic blast. As it continued to gnaw at the sun, Arabella and her fleet of fairies were disintegrated in less than a millisecond.
The fairies nearly gave up hope then, but instead, they came to a mutual decision to regroup for one last effort, around one planet. Earth, our home today. One fairy came forward, Sylvia. She had heard of a wormhole very close to Earth, leading to a hidden planet, and for most of her 500 years, she had been trying to access it. The exact moment that the Alien blasted Arabella, it had opened. A habitable planet lay beyond, and she was sure that it would be a safe refuge, where the aliens would not be able to reach.
A month passed. The fairies' plans were made. The sun had barely a sliver of light left, and the fairies had been depending upon the Firefly fairies, that had luminous material as part of their body for light. The same alien that had blasted Arabella's team slowly came closer to Earth, sensing the fairies, and wishing for a challenge. Indeed, 10 billion fairies standing together should have been a challenge. It was the biggest challenge that the Alien had faced. Still, it barely gave a thought to the threat, and blasted the entire Earth.
Approximately 9.5 billion fairies died in the initial blast.
Only approximately 500 made it into the worm hole alive, even with the survivors all helping each other.
In the first count, there were only 75 fairies living when they were safe in the worm hole.
One fairy, less than 10 years old, lived outside of the wormhole to see what happened after the rest were killed or had reached safety. Somehow, maybe because he was the only cross bred firefly fairy and blue fairy, the atomic blast of the Alien did not kill him, but instead sent him reeling backwards into space, unable to move. Robin watched as Earth's atmosphere was set afire by the blast and the billions of tiny fairy bodies falling down. The Alien, now extremely hungry, ignored the blazing fire, and walked straight into it. It was obliterated in a second. A second Alien saw the death of its fellow alien. It curiously came over to Earth, and like its comrade was quickly obliterated. You have to understand, aliens were not very intelligent. In fact, they were dumb. Completely without intelligence. Their strength was the only reason why they had conquered so much of the universe. So the fifty or so aliens quickly followed suit. Soon they were all dead.
Robin smiled, and soon he was dead himself, his young age making it impossible for him to live alone in the cold, vast space for more than an hour.
Eventually, after hundreds of years, the fire on Earth went out. The nature inside it had been preserved by the sacrifices and magic of the many fairies, who had all teamed up and given up their lives in the hope that someday another species would thrive. Unicellular creatures formed and grew. Billions of years later, humans were alive, and creating advanced technology.
The 75 shaken fairies explored the wormhole. One of the universe's many secrets. Only a few years were spent in mourning their dead sisters and brothers. Although they had not known each fairy individually, the fairies had all been a close knit community, and even the loss of fairies they hadn't known personally. Still, they knew that they had to build a new society. The first few weeks were spent exploring the land. The fairies flew around the place they had found. One tried to go back though the wormhole, but it had closed. Sylvia had died, and her years of recorded research had been destroyed. Some fairies suggested that the opening occurred because of Arabella's sacrifice. To this day, they do not know the exact reason why it opened.
Plantations were planted from the scattered fruits and vegetables across the land. The fairies had no other creatures to provide meat, but as they had never had meat in their old home, they didn't notice. Simple structures were built for shelters. The fairies didn't understand how, but when they tried to fly up, hoping to reach other planets, hoping they were in another solar system, hoping that they could find Earth and the other planets, they encountered nothing. To the fairies, it was inexplicable. Instead of encountering a curious sensation, like having pins and needles stabbing them gently when going out of the other planets' atmosphere, they hit a wall. A soft, cushiony and squishy wall, that was impenetrable. Not discouraged, they left it for future generations to try.
It is unknown how many years have passed since the first mass destruction of Earth. But the wormhole, the Universe's Secret, is still intact today. And now you, a mere creature of Earth, have stumbled upon this place of the fairies. How? I do not know. The fairies may not trust you, at first. But if you write with them, in a form they call roleplaying, you may gain their trust. They may teach you to fly, and tell you the folklore and history of their kind.

Haloha! I'm Lia, and the fairies have appointed me as leader of The Universe's Secret, TUS! If you hate fairies, or think they're corny or something, don't worry. The theme of TUS may be fairies and space and wormholes and all that sci-fi stuff, but the roleplay has nothing to do with them!
TUS is a multi-roleplay. This means that any type of roleplay is welcome- warriors, wolves, horses, Twilight, your own plot... Your imagination is the limit. If 2 other people agree to do that roleplay with you, a board will be created! TUS is a place for newbies to roleplaying, veterans of roleplaying, and all of you in the middle! Just so long you try your hardest, and you're open to helpful editing and ideas! The roleplay is PG, but slack will be cut on violence. Just so long you wouldn't mind a twelve year old reading your post, you're good!
Four Harry Potter esque houses-
Planet Gardeners...
Time Gardeners...
Star Gardeners...
Black Hole Gardeners...
A creative money system, with friendly contests to earn more. (It doesn't really go to a use, but it's fun to say, "I HAVE SO MUCH MONEY!")
Literate-advanced members as well as new beginners- you'll find someone that matches your roleplaying ability.
An Elemental Pegasi roleplay, from its very own forum, now part of TUS

Kingston High.
May 24th, 2008.
Another ordinary day at school. Nothing special or exciting was happening. The weather was warm, but cloudy, the teachers were doling out homework, the gossips were gossiping... Total normalness. The public school had over 1,000 students, but they didn't have enough room in the classes, so the students of Mr. Bernard have geometry 5th period underground, in an old bomb shelter, where everything is isolated. The students always remember to bring a watch, because they can't here the school bells, and they don't want to be late for 6th period.
On this particular day, Mr. Bernard realized halfway through class that he had left their corrected tests upstairs in the staff room, so he runs off to get them.
The students wait, impatiently, for him to get back, but he never does... The time comes for the end of class, and he still isn't back. Nonchalantly, the students file up the stairs, fearing a detention for being late.
Something is strange though. There isn't the usual clamor of students rushing around, talking...
The students look around. Nobody is in the school. There has been no fire drill. Nothing seems out of place- except the absence of people. When looking into a classroom, books are laid out on desks, as if everybody had stood up and left.
Everyone is gone. Nobody is in the stores, houses, restaurants...
What will the students do? Will they cause havoc and steal from the stores? Will they try and rebuild a new society? And finally, how will they find out what happened to everybody else in the world?[/size]
Kia Ora for reading! ((Maori, the native language of New Zealand, for thank you AND hello. Bet you didn't know that!))
